I am a Filipino, but I cannot speak our native language to save my life. I am also not the most caring or hospitable person on the block, so shame on me, I guess. You’re probably saying that I am a shite Filipino, but yes, I totally admit that.
However, like any classic Filipino, there is nothing I love more than loud music, and singing off-key, on the top of my lungs on an old, beat-up, karaoke machine.
The name is Reese. I’m 14; I was born on January 18th, and I’m a High School Junior at the Abba’s Orchard School. I live in the Philippines. Once I get out of the hellhole that is high school, I will take up Journalism, hopefully in this school called Ateneo De Manila University, or De La Salle University. If all else fails, I could just commit suppoku, but then I’m too much of a narcissistic fag to do so. I will become the most badass rockstar/lawyer one day. Just you wait and see.

I was a prisoner, a factory worker, a prostitute and a beggar, all in one night. That’s right. I’m not even joking. We’ve attempted something that has never been attempted before on a high school level. A Les Miserables musical.
I must admit, I was really skeptical about this from the start. I mean, c’mon, a couple of high school students who can barely sing and a musical of this level? Who were we kidding? But last night, oh my god. Amazing performances that brought me to tears, and I was just backstage. Hearing them sing like that, watching them perform, it was an amazing experience.
Although I played a really unnoticeable role, I’m very proud of my friends who played important roles like Andrew who played Marius, and Evee who played Fantine. They did such a wonderful job.
Below is our setlist. It’s incomplete though.
And after that whole year of complaining, dissing and really just being negative about the play, it’s done, and I think I’m going to miss it. Everyone wants a second show. Hopefully we get one. I’d like to repeat that glorious sensation once again.
